Demonstrator for "defusing the demographic time bomb"

Challenge:
Experienced professionals are increasingly scarce in critical operational areas. In complex tasks, such as the defusing of a “time bomb”, precise and error-free execution is essential. Without expert knowledge, a wrong step can have serious consequences. Since qualified experts are not always available on-site, a solution is needed that ensures both safety and efficiency.

Our Solution:
By leveraging modern AR technology, specialists can provide remote guidance. Through an AR interface – whether on a tablet, smartphone, or AR/VR headset – the user receives visual assistance, allowing an experienced colleague to “look over their shoulder” and guide them with a virtual pointer. This form of visual guidance ensures high-quality instructions, enabling even those without extensive prior experience to work safely and efficiently. At the same time, the specialists remain mobile and can support multiple locations simultaneously.

Technologies:
Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), Real-Time Connection, expandable with Artificial Intelligence (AI)

How It Works:
The scene is transmitted via a secure real-time connection, allowing experts to provide instructions directly to the user's AR interface. The precise, step-by-step instructions show exactly how specific actions should be performed—ideal for maintenance, repairs, emergency operations, and hazardous situations. The visual support enables quick and safe task execution, while experts can manage multiple locations centrally. With this, the relevant expert is virtually always in the right place at the right time.

Where can you access this demonstrator?
This demonstrator can be tested directly at your company, as it can be transported with little effort from the Hub in Wildau and easily integrated into existing processes at your location. This makes it easier for companies to assess their digitalisation potential and also allows their staff to train on the use of new technologies.
