"The Night of Creative Minds (NDKK) has been a staple of the Cottbus event calendar for over a decade. Once a year – always on a Saturday in October – around 20 companies, universities, and institutions open their doors to curious visitors between 6 PM and midnight.

The NDKK aims to showcase the ideas, research, and developments happening in Cottbus. Thousands of knowledge seekers embark on a nocturnal journey of discovery through laboratories, workshops, studios, and offices. To make it easy to reach as many locations as possible, a free shuttle service – consisting of buses and, depending on the year, trams – connects all participating venues.  In addition to exciting insights into research and innovation, the event also offers a unique opportunity to meet potential employers. Many program items are specifically geared towards school students and university students, addressing topics such as vocational training, university studies, and career paths in the region."

The NDKK event takes place every year under the motto: "Discover a smarter side of Cottbus overnight" – and invites visitors to experience Cottbus from its most creative perspective."
