On 19 September, the Luckenwalde University Presence Centre received 1st place in the "EDI Community Engagement Initiative of the Year" category of the European "Triple E Awards on Entrepreneurship and Engagement Excellence in Higher Education 2024". The award ceremony took place in beautiful Lisbon and Luckenwalde was able to stand out with its versatile range.

We congratulate to the entire team of the presence centre under the leadership of our EDIH pro_digital colleague Prof. Dr. Dana Mietzner, Professor of General Business Administration, with its focus on innovation and regional management at the Wildau University of Applied Sciences, and Prof. Dr. Antje Michel, Professor of Information Didactics and Knowledge Transfer at the Potsdam University of Applied Sciences.

The award honored the engagement for strong, regional and social commitment, a sustainable and inclusive educational world and the idea of entrepreneurship with equal rights and diversity and inclusion.

In 2019, the Triple E Awards were launched by the Accreditation Council for Entrepreneurial and Engaged Universities (ACEEU) as the first awardspecifically focused on universities' third-mission activities for technology transfer, innovation, upskilling and social engagement.
